Rathajatra at Bankura |

Rathajatra is a very popular event in Bankura town. Thousands of people gathered from neighbouring villages and from the town, specially children and young boys & girls along with a few elders to be present in the spiritual event. Mainly two Raths (symbolic chariot of god Jagannath-Balaram-Subhadra) are the main attraction of the event. The first is called Baro-Rath which starts from Nutanganj Barorathtala at about 7PM. This after running through Rabindrasarani Durgamela and Rastala returned to its starting place at mid-night. Another is Choto-Rath
